How to find the right business coach for women in NZ (without wasting money)

The questions to ask, the red flags to avoid, and how to tell the difference between a coach who will move your business and one who will just make you feel busy.

Choosing a business coach is one of the highest-leverage decisions a founder makes. Done well, it compresses years of trial and error. Done poorly, it costs you tens of thousands of dollars and a year of your life.

Start with outcomes, not personalities. What does the coach's existing client base actually look like one year in? Two years in? If they can't tell you, walk away.

Look for someone who has built and exited a business themselves. Theory without scar tissue is just expensive advice.

Finally, trust your gut on chemistry. The work is hard. You need to genuinely look forward to the calls.
