A safe space to be completely honest
Every business owner needs someone they can be completely honest with. Someone who will listen, challenge, encourage, and occasionally tell you when an idea is absolute rubbish. For me, that's Marisa. Having founded and successfully sold one of New Zealand's leading recruitment businesses, she's achieved so much in her career. But what I admire most isn't her success, it's her generosity with her time, her wisdom, and the genuine care she shows for the people around her. Every quarter, I'm grateful for the opportunity to sit down with her, talk through ideas, challenges and opportunities. Somehow I always leave those conversations with greater clarity, confidence and perspective on the pathway forward. What I value most is knowing that with Marisa, it's a safe space where we can be completely transparent, share the highs and lows, and speak openly without judgement. One of the best investments I've made in my business
I was initially very sceptical about moving from ChatGPT because learning another AI platform felt daunting. After completing re:ampd's Claude course, I can honestly say it has completely changed the way I work. The training made the transition simple, practical, and easy to follow, and I'm now genuinely loving Claude. The depth of its features has significantly improved my productivity, allowing me to produce high-quality work in a fraction of the time. Tasks that previously required support from multiple team members can now be completed far more efficiently, making this one of the best investments I've made in my business.
The best end-of-year event I've been to
I had such a fun night at Bags & Bubbles. Honestly it's the best Christmas party or end-of-year celebration I've attended. The room was full of friendly, approachable people who were open to genuine conversations.
The first networking event I wanted to stay at
I was expecting a conventional networking event. So glad I showed up. Everyone I met went deep pretty quickly. There wasn't as much of that horrendous small talk we introverts hate so much at networking events. It's the first networking event in a long time where I've wanted to stick around.
A newbie who felt like an old-timer
Bags & Bubbles had the warmest energy from the moment I walked in. Marisa made me feel instantly welcome, and that set the tone for everything that followed. Even as a newbie, I genuinely felt like an old-time member. Marisa has this rare gift of making every person feel like the only one in the room.
